Treva E. Klingbiel is President and principal of TradeTech. She has been involved with the commercial aspects of the nuclear fuel cycle for nearly three decades. Her principal areas of work have been uranium supply and demand and uranium market pricing. Klingbiel has in-depth knowledge and experience with strategic inventory study and nuclear fuel procurement practices. As President of TradeTech, she is responsible for overseeing TradeTech’s market research and information services, including a wide scope of competitive and strategic market analyses, market growth expectations, and price trends prepared for individual clients. Before forming TradeTech in 1995, Klingbiel was associated with CONCORD/NUEXCO where she was President of NUEXCO Information Services and Concord Information Services. Prior to joining NUEXCO, she worked for Public Service Company of Colorado as a Nuclear Fuel Engineer where her major responsibility was nuclear fuel procurement. In addition, she previously held positions with Texas Utilities Generating Co. and Middle South Utilities where her primary responsibilities included procurement of nuclear fuel, development and implementation of nuclear fuel procurement strategies, and performance of cost analyses.
Brian was appointed senior vice-president and chief operating officer of Cameco Corporation on July 1, 2017.
Brian began his career with Cameco at Cameco Australia in 2011 as managing director. He was responsible for strategic vision and planning for overall direction of Cameco Australia.
Prior to joining Cameco, he held the position of president & CEO of Titan Uranium. He has held a number of positions within AREVA including vice-president human resources and industrial relations. He was the project coordinator for AREVA responsible for coordinating and developing of the KATCO project in Kazakhstan and Kiggavik Project in Nunavut. He managed the geology department for the underground operation for Cluff Lake mine.
Brian is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Saskatchewan.
Lenka Kollar is the co-founder of Helixos, a strategy consulting and technical advisory firm focusing on cleantech commercialization. She leads a global team providing support to startups, research organizations, companies, and governments in developing and deploying new clean energy technologies, including nuclear energy. Prior to co-founding Helixos, Lenka was the Director of Strategy & External Relations at NuScale Power where she worked to bring small modular reactors to market. Lenka also previously worked for the International Atomic Energy Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy. She has a BS and MS in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from INSEAD.
Dr Marsland-Smith joined Alligator Energy Ltd as Chief Operating Officer in early 2022 to lead the development of Alligator’s Samphire Uranium Project near Whyalla. Andrea joined Alligator after a 15-year appointment with Heathgate Resources, operator of the Beverley & Four Mile ISR uranium mines in South Australia. Her roles on these projects ranging from technical to managerial positions in Geology, Regulatory & Compliance, Government Relations, and Operations. Andrea has also worked in Senior exploration roles with Areva, Uranium Equities ltd and Sinosteel Uranium SA.
Helen Cook is the Principal of GNE Advisory Pty Ltd. She advises on the establishment of legal infrastructure for civilian nuclear power programmes, as well as the negotiation of commercial contracts for new nuclear power plants. She currently advises on three of the demonstration small modular reactor projects in the United States and Canada and two of the front runner SMR projects in Europe, as well as numerous governments on development of their nuclear programmes. She is the author of the textbook, The Law of Nuclear Energy and is recognised by the IAEA as a nuclear law expert. Helen is a Non-executive Director of Silex Systems Limited and an Executive Committee member of the Australian Nuclear Association. She lived and worked for 13 years in the Middle East and United States before returning to Australia to start a family.
Jim has been involved in radiation protection, occupational health and safety, environmental management and community relations in mining and mineral processing for almost 40 years. He has worked in operations, at a corporate level and now in consulting. Jim does work for the World Nuclear Association and the International Atomic Energy Agency focusing on practical implementation of radiation protection. Jim is the immediate past President of the Australasian Radiation Protection Society and member of the ARPANSA Radiation Health and Safety Advisory Council.
John is an experienced mining executive and geologist with more than 45 years’ uranium industry experience. He founded Paladin Energy Limited in 1993 and took it from a junior explorer to a multi-mine uranium company worth more than US$5 billion at its peak in the pre-Fukushima era.
He was appointed to the role of Managing Director/CEO of Deep Yellow in 2016, aiming to develop the Company into a Tier 1, multi-mine, global uranium producer. He has since built a capable, experienced team with a proven track record and initiated a dual pillar growth strategy of discovery of new deposits and mergers and acquisitions.
Keith Baldry is Director Science and Systems with the South Australian Environment Protection Authority. He leads the EPA’s environmental science, radiation, mining and energy work, as well as digital systems and information.
The EPA is South Australia’s independent environment and radiation regulator.
Keith has held senior roles with the EPA since 2004. Prior to joining the EPA, he worked in the UK and Australia on radiation and nuclear site remediation and decommissioning projects.
Dr. Olga Yahorava is a Principal Scientist (Ion Exchange) at Clean TeQ Water (Australia). Having spent 12 years at the Hydrometallurgical division of Mintek in South Africa, Dr. Yahorava brings a wealth of experience to her current role. With a strong background in hydrometallurgical flowsheet development and optimization, she specializes in leveraging ion exchange technology to address complex challenges in the water and mining industries.
Dr. Yahorava holds a PhD in Chemistry and has made significant contributions to the field through her extensive research and practical expertise. Her work has been recognized with several patents, and she has authored numerous publications in the hydrometallurgical domain. Throughout her career, Dr. Yahorava has been involved in numerous projects focused on the processing and refining various commodity metals, including uranium.
As a Work Health & Safety Advisor within ANSTO’s High Reliability team, Rhiarn brings her experience in the field of biological sciences and safety to support the safe development and delivery of research and radiopharmaceuticals across Nuclear Science & Technology (NST) and Nuclear Medicine. She was the Safety Liaison for ANSTO during the 2023 Western Australia lost Caesium-137 source, playing a critical role in ensuring the safety of ANSTO field assistance teams and enabling communication between stakeholders in the emergency operations centre.
As a trusted advisor within the safety team, Rhiarn has worked with a diverse portfolio including research, production, operations, and emergency planning, in unique environment that is Australia’s only research reactor facility. Rhiarn holds a Bachelor of Animal & Veterinary Bioscience and is currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
Sophie has recently completed her Honours in Geology at Monash University; her project focuses on metallogeny in Northeast Queensland. She also works for Rio Tinto at their technical development centre as a laboratory technician within the geometallurgy team. She is passionate about encouraging more young people to move into the mining industry, diversity and inclusivity within the mining industry and helping students discover geosciences.
Stacey Golokin is the Director of Investor Relations – Asia Pacific at NexGen Energy, a Canadian uranium mining company in the final permitting stages of the Rook I Deposit, which is anticipated to be the largest single source deposit of high-grade uranium in the world.
In her role at NexGen, Stacey oversees all aspects of Investor Relations for Asia Pacific, and actively supports and contributes to the global Investor Relations team.
Stacey has spent most of her career at Newcrest Mining in various capacities, including Investor Relations, Mergers & Acquisitions and Performance Reporting. Most recently, Stacey served as an Associate Director of Investor Relations at CVS Lane Capital Partners.
